BETO Announces Biological and Chemical Upgrading for Advanced Biofuels and Products FOA

The Energy Department’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) has released a new $10 million funding opportunity announcement to support the research of drop-in biofuels—such as agricultural residues and woody biomass—to substitute petroleum-based feedstocks, products, and fuels. EERE’s Bioenergy Technologies Office supports efforts to make drop-in biofuels more accessible and affordable, as well as to meet the cost target equivalent of $3.00 per gallon of gasoline by 2022.
