Registered for Biomass 2013 Yet?
The Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) is hosting its sixth annual biomass conference this summer—have you registered yet? Biomass 2013: How the Advanced Bioindustry is Reshaping American Energy will be held July 31–August 1 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center. This year's conference will highlight the successes of the bioenergy industry over the past 20 years and provide a forum to exchange ideas, showcase new technologies, and discuss opportunities for the future. Ionic Liquid Webinar in June
BETO will host the "Ionic Liquid Pretreatment Technologies Webinar" on Monday, June 24, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. ET. Dr Blake Simmons of Sandia National Laboratories will present on the discovery, design, and optimization of an ionic liquid pretreatment technology that can efficiently process hardwoods, softwoods, agricultural residues, and other energy crops. May 2013 Multi-Year Program Plan Update Released
The May 2013 update to the Multi-Year Program Plan is now available on our website. The MYPP outlines the Office's research, development, demonstration, and deployment priorities for the next four years.

In the Spotlight: BETO Project Portfolio
The BETO project portfolio took center stage this month at the 2013 Project Peer Review. So while there's no new Staff Spotlight video for May, there will be lots to see from the Project Peer Review on our website soon.
