2013 Project Peer Review
The Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) hosted its 2013 Project Peer Review On May 20–23, 2013, at the Hilton Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia. The Peer Review process is designed to obtain independent expert assessments of all the projects in the Office's portfolio. More information about the meeting is available in the Peer Review Agenda. Presentations from the Project Peer Review are available under the individual Technology Area tabs on the Peer Review Portal.
2013 Project Management Review
The 2013 Program Management Review will take place at the Renaissance Washington Hotel on July 30, 2013. This Office-level review will include presentations from the Lead Reviewers on the results of the Project Peer Review and the Peer Review Steering Commitee will review the overall scope and focus of BETO. Information obtained from the Peer Review process will be used to improve the management and oversight of BETO projects and inform future funding allocations and other management decisions.
The Program Management Review will be free and open to the public, but space is limited. Participants must register in advance to guarantee a space, so please register now.
The Program Management Review will immediately precede the Office's sixth annual conference, Biomass 2013: How the Advanced Bioindustry is Reshaping American Energy, which will take place July 31–August 1 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center. Attending both events will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about BETO's current portfolio of projects and about the future of the Department of Energy and the bioenergy industry. A hotel room block has been reserved for Program Management Review attendees at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. Rooms are available for July 29 and 30, 2013, at a reduced group rate of $169 per night, plus tax.
