Designing and Modeling HVAC Systems with SystemOutliner

When: Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. ET

Description: SystemOutliner, a new tool in the OpenStudio application suite used to design and model HVAC systems by leveraging the power of EnergyPlus, will be discussed. Key user features will be highlighted, including the assembly of custom HVAC systems through a drag-and-drop interface and rapid modeling of common HVAC system types using built-in templates. SystemOutliner, developed at NREL, is designed to complement the more mature, geometry-focused features of OpenStudio. The speaker will also demonstrate how to integrate this new tool into the OpenStudio workflow.
