Clean Cities Provides Dozens of New Photos of Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicles
January 14, 2011
More than 150 new photos of alternative fuels and advanced vehicles are now available for public use in the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL) online photo library.
Provided by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program, the new photos—many taken by professional photographers—feature up-to-date technologies across the Clean Cities portfolio: electric vehicles, biodiesel buses, ethanol fueling pumps, flex fuel vehicles, heavy-duty hybrids, compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, and more.
To access all the photos, search for “Clean Cities” in the photo library. Users can narrow the search by entering specific fuels, technologies, or locations. Search results contain detailed descriptions and background information for each image. The images in the photo library are suitable for download and use in all types of electronic documents, including PowerPoint presentations. To obtain a high-resolution image suitable for printed documents, e-mail the PIX Webmaster at firstname.lastname@example.org. When using PIX images, please provide photo credit to NREL.
Clean Cities is an initiative of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Program. Clean Cities partners with state and local organizations in the public and private sectors to reduce petroleum use through alternative and renewable fuels, fuel economy measures, idle reduction technologies, and promising new technologies as they emerge.
