Webcast of Engaging Students in Energy

On December 13th, the Department of Energy and its collaborators held a live webcast on "Engaging Students in Energy." The presentation and webcast are available below.

This webcast was held to share information on several Department of Energy programs intended to engage students in energy, including the Energy Literacy and Energy 101 initiatives, the National Clean Energy Student Business Plan Competition and other student competitions, the Small Business and Innovation Research (SBIR) program, and the Minorities in Energy Initiative. Educators, administrators, and other listeners were invited to learn more about these and other opportunities, with the special goal of assisting minority-serving institutions in their efforts to increase the participation of underrepresented groups in energy.

The Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy created this webinar in collaboration with the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity, the Office of Science, and the Office of Nuclear Energy.
