FEMP Publishes New Document for Product Manufacturers and Vendors

December 20, 2012

The Federal Government spends billions of dollars on goods and services every year. For many product types, the U.S. Government is the single largest purchaser. Manufacturers and vendors can increase their sales potential by helping Federal purchasers meet their energy-efficient product purchasing requirements.

To help manufacturers and vendors to explore the Federal market, the U.S. Department of Energy Federal Energy Management Program’s (FEMP) recently published Sell Energy-Efficient Products, a two-page fact sheet that explains contractual agreements, FEMP-designated efficiency requirements, and how to determine if a product qualifies for Federal purchase. It also lists online resources vendors and manufacturers can use to learn more about this potential sales market.
