Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is a realistic, near-term option for large energy efficiency improvements and significant CO2 reductions. It can reduce CO2 emissions, offset imported energy, create job opportunities, and improve local economies. Learn more about the solutions CHP offers. (PDF 2 MB). You can also read the full CHP report. (PDF 2.5 MB)

Industrial Technologies Program Overview
Fact Sheet
This fact sheet outlines ITP's mission, vision, objectives, and strategic elements that are resulting in energy and cost savings for industry. (PDF 412 KB).
Presentation
This presentation provides an introduction to ITP's activities, initiatives, technology research and development, partnership opportunities, and technical resources that are helping industry reduce energy intensity 25% in 10 years. (PDF 1.9 MB)
Impacts: Summary of Program Results
Over the past 29 years, ITP has supported more than 600 separate research, development and demonstration (RD&D) projects that have produced more than 200 technologies. In 2006, 104 of these successfully commercialized technologies resulted in industry saving 90 trillion Btu in energy costs. ITP tracks the amount of energy saved as well as other benefits associated with successfully commercialized technologies that result from its research partnerships. The Impacts report summarizes some of these benefits, including energy savings, waste reduction, increased productivity, and lowered emissions. It also provides an overview of the activities of the Industrial Assessment Centers and BestPractices. In 2006, ITP programs saved 489 trillion Btu of energy with a cost savings of $5.54 billion. Over the entire history of ITP programs, the cumulative net energy saved has been about 5.65 quad, with a cost savings of $37.8 billion (in 2006 dollars).
