2013 Bioenergy Technologies Office – Peer Review Portal
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO - formerly the Biomass Program) will be conducting a biennial peer review in the spring and summer of 2013 in accordance with the requirement of all EERE Offices. The BETO Project Peer Review will take place from May 20-23, 2013 at the Hilton Mark Center in Arlington, VA. Results from the Project Peer Review will be presented, and the overall structure of the portfolio reviewed at the BETO Program Management Review scheduled for summer 2013 in Washington, D.C.
The peer review process is designed to obtain independent expert assessments of the performance, relevance, and management of the projects in the Office’s portfolio, and obtain recommendations on the focus and scope of each technology area, and on the overall outlook and strategic direction of the Office. This information will be used to improve the management and oversight of BETO projects, and inform future funding allocations and other management decisions. All BETO Peer Review meetings will be open to the public, but attendees must register in advance. More information about the BETO Peer Review meetings can be found in the associated tabs.
